For the Siq Trail, treat dates as a normal operating season rather than a guarantee. Weather and flash-flood risk can affect access.
Visit Jordan states that the Siq Trail normally operates from 1 April to 31 October. The official Wadi Mujib destination page also describes the activity as summer-only and dependent on weather.
Practical rule: check the current status shortly before you travel.
Do not assume the wet Siq Trail will be available. Mujib also has a winter mountain option: RSCN describes the guided Ibex Trail as typically operating from November through March when conditions are suitable.
If your priority is specifically a water-canyon experience, compare other wadis and verify their conditions independently.
The experience involves water, wet rock and changing conditions. Rainfall can rapidly change canyon safety, so current local information matters more than a fixed calendar date.
“Alternative” does not mean identical. Jordan’s wadis differ in access, route style, guiding, seasonality and difficulty. Choose according to the experience you actually want.
